this coming sunday the services will be:
8.00am joint bcp communion at sullington
10.30am joint 'all age' service at thakeham
6.00pm evensong at sullington
for those who don't know, 'bcp' stands for the book of common prayer which is basically a service book of extremely traditional language. it lasts for about 20 minutes, but it is really for those who just want a short quiet, traditional communion.
the main service this week will be held at thakeham and is an 'all age' service which means just that -we'll be carrying on with our theme for the year - 'the little people of the bible', and the idea is that we look at a particular story each month, then we unpack it a little throughout the sevice to see how it relates to us here in 2012. the idea is to make the service fun and relevant for eveyone - and hopefully we all get something from it.
this sunday is our third evensong at sullington. evensong will be held every first sunday of the month throughout the summer. we would love for you to join us and look forward to seeing you there. it's again an opportunity for both churches to come together, to support one another and have fellowship together as brothers and sisters in christ. please make it a priority to support the mission of both churches.
the aim of both our churches at thakeham and sullington is to serve the communites in which they exist. it's not an easy job, and we don't always get it right, but we feel passionate about wanting to make a difference in our community and to show people that we care for them.
